Battery Management

  • The battery banks are large enough to keep the average boat running without recharging for about 2-3 days at a time and sun and time motoring recharge the batteries.

  • It is the skipper’s responsibility to monitor the batteries and ensure that they are recharged as needed.

  • The batteries can be recharged, depending on the boat by:

  • The alternators on the engines

  • Solar panels

  • The battery charger when plugged into shore power. (only available at Marina)

In most cases you will need to run the boats engines (the alternators) for at least 1.5 hours a time to charge.
