The Pumicestone Passage and Moreton Bay region is located in the “humid subtropical zone”. Our subtropical climate allows us to experience hot and humid summers, mild winters, and plenty of sun all year round. Our climate allows us to spend a lot of time outdoors comfortably. The south-east trade winds dominate most of the year, with occasional westerlies and northerlies in winter and summer, respectively.
This area enjoys a moderate sub-tropical climate year-round, with temperatures averaging 22-30 degrees Celsius by day in the Summer and between 12-22 degrees Celsius in Winter.
If you're boating during the winter many days are warm and sunny, however ensure you pack some appropriate clothes for those cooler days and nights, or windy conditions.

The Best Time to Charter
April to December are an ideal time to book a holiday in the region. Every week can and will be different so please keep this in mind when booking as weather is difficult to predict and extreme events have and do occur. Even though the traditional “Storm Season” occurs January to March many people do still enjoy boating at this time.
